Hook your kids into maths using Tellagami free App

This is a great free app to engage children across the key stages in particular KS1. Using one of the avatar templates record the introduction or main task of your lesson and AirPlay the video to the class during the input. If you don’t have AirServer (each PC liecence is around £7.99) or Lonely screen (£14.99 per year) then you can download and send the video to your email and play it from your IWB.

To make it more exciting get someone the children don’t know (like a partner or staff member) to record to audio rather than your voice.

I used this to hook my Year 3 kids into a maths lesson about adding amounts of money (column addition) using items around the room like a supermarket. The avatar was the PE teacher’s voice instructing the kids to find out how many different combinations of items they could buy for £10. I used a simple supermarket background downloaded from google and the kids really enjoyed the lesson!

Boredom beat? Yep!

Are you up to date?

Unfortunately, the new iOS 11 isn’t supported so stay tuned for an update from the developers. I’ll let you know in a new blog when it comes available again.
